Amy Ejercito

Senior Assistant Business Manager / General Counsel

Amy Ejercito brings a wealth of labor and corporate knowledge to the members of Local 1260.  For the bulk of her career, Ejercito worked in Hawaiian Electric Company's legal department.   After serving as HECO's Director of Strategic Initiatives, in 2000, she was named Manager of Customer Service and in 2005, she was named Vice President of Corporate Excellence.

In addition to her duties as General Counsel, Ejercito will also represent Local 1260 members at Units 1 & 4 on Kauai (Pacific Missile Range at Barking Sands), Unit 2 at the Lualualei Naval Magazine (Naval Radio Transmitter Facility), Unit 13 in Wahiawa (Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific - SATCOMM), Unit 15 (Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam) and Unit 18 in Kaneohe (Marine Corps Base Hawaii).

Russell Takemoto

Assistant Business Manager / Director of Organizing

 

Russell Takemoto oversees all membership development efforts for the Local Union.   Mr. Takemoto is the primary representative for Ke'aki (Pacific Missile Range Facility) & the Kauai Island Utility Cooperative on Kauai, as well as the Hawaiian Electric Company on Oahu and the Hawaii Electric Light Company on Hawaii Island.

Russell Yamanoha

Assistant Business Manager / Director of Communications

 

Russell Yamanoha manages all communication matters for the Local Union. He is responsible for the Local's newsletter & website and he handles all public relations, social media updates and television and radio ad campaigns relating to the Local Union.  In addition, Mr. Yamanoha will represent our members who are employed under our various television & broadcast contracts, our various service/maintenance contracts, members at BAE Systems (GEODSS Project) at Mt. Haleakala and also assist in representing our members on Guam.

Michael Brittain

Local Union Representative / Strategic Research Analyst

 

Michael Brittain is responsible for gathering all financial and relevant company information in preparation for all contract negotiations and organizing campaigns and he brings a vast knowledge of labor laws to our Local Union..   Mr. Brittain spent the last 10 years as an Operator at HECO’s Kahe Power Plant, where he was also a lead shop steward.   Previously, Brittain was union officer with the Transport Worker’s Union while working as an aircraft mechanic at American Airlines, and a member of the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers while at United Airlines.   Mr. Brittain will represent our members at Maui Electric Company on Maui, Molokai and Lanai, members at the Chevron Hawaii Refinery, AES Kalaeloa Partners,

Kenneth Laguana

Organizer

 

Kenneth Laguana will work exclusively out of our Local 1260 office in Hagatna, Guam.   He will manage the day-to-day operations of the Local Union on Guam as well as represent our 950+ members employed on the territory.   Prior to joining the team, Mr. Laguana worked as an engineer at DZSP21 and was the chairman of the former Unit 16.  He is also a former member of the Oil Workers Union.

 

 

Lee Ann Miyamura, Marilyn Ahakuelo, Gay Yamafuji, Lorna Takahashi

Each member of our clerical administration knows the history of this Local Union and the day to day operations, which has helped keep this office and the Local running for all these years. The work accomplished by the staff plays a vital role to our Team efforts to move the Local Union forward.

Lee Ann and Marilyn are responsible for keeping the Business Manager and all the Reps on schedule with all meetings, contract schedules, and all business related matters.

Gay and Lorna maintain all the financial records for the Local from membership application and processing to office payroll and office receivables and payables.


Richard Kurata

Richard is a volunteer and assists Gay and Lorna with accounting related matters.
